Gator Run 5K/10K Run/Walk
Registration for the 2007 Inaugural Gator Run is filling up fast! Hurry to be one of the first to register and you will receive a commemorative pin. Entry fees include bib number, t-shirt, one FREE ticket to the Cajun Creole Music Festival, doorprizes and refreshments.
Great Route
The Gator Run will begin at the west entrance to the Rancho Santa Susana Community Park and head east on Los Angeles Ave. to Stearns St. Left turn on Stearns to Cochran, travel west on Cochran to Tapo St. Left on Tapo St. to Industrial, travel east to the end of Industrial where it meets the bike path. Runners will make a short loop on the bike path and head back to Los Angeles Ave., left on L.A. Ave and back to the start/finish. 5K is one loop, two loops for the 10K.
Register
Register on-line at Active.com (click link). Registration is $25 for 5K or 10K until May 10th. Late registration is $30 after May 10th. Packet Pick Up will be available on Saturday, May 26th at Foot Pursuit Run Shop, located at 4324 Cochran Street in Simi Valley from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Prizes
Prize money of $100, $75 and $50 will go to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place overall for males and females in both the 5K and the 10K. Awards will go to the top three finishers in each of 13 age group categories.
Proceeds
Proceeds from the Gator Run will benefi t the Ventura County Fire Department’s Fallen Firefighter Memorial Fund.
