The Simi Valley Town Center will host the event in its parking lot Fridays from 3 to 7:30 p.m. starting July 21.

Along with fresh produce, there will be prepared food, children's activities, arts and crafts and live music. Some of the children's activities will include a pony ride, petting zoo, inflatable slides and obstacle courses.

The market will be produced by Ventura-based FMOCIH.

It will run through the late fall.

The market will take place in the parking lot near Dakota's Great Steakhouse.

It is the newest addition to activities at the mall that include a summer music series Tuesday and Thursday nights and a Kid's Club on Wednesdays from 10 to 11 a.m.

The Sunrise Art and Music Festival continues today from noon to 6 p.m., with drawings for art and other prizes throughout the day and a final drawing for a diamond bracelet at 5:25 p.m.

Proceeds from the event, which is being planned with the help of the Rotary Club of Simi Sunrise, will benefit booster clubs at three Simi Valley high schools: Simi Valley, Royal and Santa Susana.

THE CARNIVAL The Carnival is held indoors at the Rancho Santa Susana Community Center, 5005-C Los Angeles Avenue, Simi Valley. The event will be held on Halloween night, Tuesday, October 31, 2006, from 5:30 to 8:30 pm. Children and their parents are invited. The admission fee is $1 for Adults, $4 for children ages 2 and up, and $1 for children under 2 years. Everyone is encouraged to wear costumes.
