The 18th annual Cajun Creole Music Festival, one of the largest Cajun festivals in the nation, will be held this weekend in Simi Valley. Hosted by Rotary Club of Simi Sunrise, the two-day music festival has also evolved into one of the largest charitable fundraisers in the Ventura County area, organizers said. The mission of the event is to raise money for people and organizations in need. Over the course of its history, the Cajun Creole Music Festival has enabled Simi Sunrise to distribute proceeds in excess of $1.2 million to charitable organizations and community groups in Simi Valley, Ventura County and nationwide, organizers said.
