The mission of the event is to raise money for people and organizations in need. Over the course of its history, the Cajun Creole Music Festival has enabled Simi Sunrise to distribute proceeds in excess of $1.2 million to charitable organizations and community groups in Simi Valley, Ventura County and nationwide, organizers said.
