Simi Valley Hospital will offer a course in pediatric and adult CPR and first aid from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Sun., Sept. 9 at the hospital, 2975 N. Sycamore Drive.

The American Heart Association course covers CPR and relief of choking in adults, children and infants. The first aid section teaches participants how to manage illness and injuries in the first few minutes until professional help arrives.

Participants will also learn basic first aid tips that can be used on adults and children.

The fee is $85, and preregistration is required.

Strathearn Park & Museum will hold its annual History Day from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 16.

Two special performances will entertain all ages in the remodeled Visitor Center.

At noon, "Toys & Games From the 19th Century" will be demonstrated and discussed by Beth Miller from Dudley House Museum.

At 2 p.m., Simi Settlers Radio Club will give a presentation about the history and technology behind amateur radio broadcasting.

Additionally, club members will demonstrate live broadcasting throughout the day.

Aside from the special performances, many club groups and individual collectors will be exhibiting.
