National Multiple Sclerosis Society Fundraiser at Red's Barbeque

It is that time of year again! Pull out your wallets and come have dinner "Red's Barbeque" on Tuesday, March 25, 2008! This will be the annual fundraiser for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Eat there on that day only and 15% of what you spend there will go toward the cause.

Knights of Columbus Chili Cook-off celebrates 20 years

The Knights of Columbus, Simi Valley Council No. 5803 will present the 20th annual Chili Cook-off and Car Show from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, June 10 at St. Rose of Lima School, behind the church at 1305 Royal Ave., Simi Valley.

Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for children ages 6 to 12, seniors and disabled. Chili taste tickets are 50 cents each.

Overflow parking will be allowed at Royal High School across the street from the church.

Chili cooking will start at noon; judging will be at 4 p.m.

Annual Mustang Car Show at Rancho Simi Community Park

Valley Mustang Club will host its Fifth Annual Mustang car show Sunday June 3 2007.

There will be Trophies, Entertainment, Raffles, Vendors and BBQ Food.

This show is on grass and is located at Rancho Simi Community Park 1692 Sycamore Drive.

Each car entry fee is $30.00; Day of show fee is 40.00. This is a great show, loads of fun and beautiful car and trucks.

The 18th annual Cajun Creole Music Festival, one of the largest Cajun festivals in the nation, will be held this weekend in Simi Valley. Hosted by Rotary Club of Simi Sunrise, the two-day music festival has also evolved into one of the largest charitable fundraisers in the Ventura County area, organizers said. The mission of the event is to raise money for people and organizations in need. Over the course of its history, the Cajun Creole Music Festival has enabled Simi Sunrise to distribute proceeds in excess of $1.2 million to charitable organizations and community groups in Simi Valley, Ventura County and nationwide, organizers said.

Blues Festival set to rock Simi Valley

The inaugural Write 4 Hope Blues Festival will blast into Simi Valley on Sat., April 29, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Oak Park, 901 Quimisa Drive in Simi Valley. All proceeds from the festival will go to Write 4 Hope, a nonprofit charitable organization providing support for the Simi Valley Samaritan Center and the Coalition to End Family Violence.

You are going to eat dinner anyway, so why not eat and support a great cause at the same time? "Dining For Dollars" at Red's Barbeque where 15% of whatever you spend at the restaurant to eat will go toward the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.

On Monday 15% of whatever you spend for lunch or dinner at Red's Barbecue will go toward the Multiple Sclerosis Society. You can dine in, take out or have it delivered but you MUST present a flyer when you are ready to pay. Click here for the flyer or pick one up at the Simi Valley Library.
