The Simi Valley Historical Society is hosting an old-fashioned family "Sundae in the Park" 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, June 3 at Strathearn Historical Park and Museum, 137 Strathearn Place, Simi Valley.

Guests can take self-paced tours because docents are stationary in all the museum buildings, including the fully-restored Old St. Rose of Lima Church and gardens. Other historic structures can be seen as they await renovation; such as the first barber shop in Simi Valley.

Other offerings will include snacks, lawn games, horseshoes, and exhibits brought in by various clubs.

The local HAM radio club "Simi Settlers" will present a live broadcast. Numerous operating vintage vehicles and antique gas engines from the museum inventory and the "Rusty Relics," will also be displayed.

Admission is $5, with food and gift items for sale for an additional charge. All proceeds go to the Simi Valley Historical Society for education and preservation programs.
