Actors’ Repertory Theatre of Simi brings this thoroughly enjoyable new musical to our stage for a Ventura County premiere. Thoroughly Modern Millie is a zany new 1920s musical that tells the story of young Millie Dillmount, who has just moved to New York City in search of a new life. It was an era of intrigue and jazz--a time when women were entering the workforce and the rules of love and social behavior were changing forever. Based on the popular movie, the stage version has a score of new songs and bright dance numbers.
